Need a Laugh?
Retired
My Preschooler, Noah, made his teacher laugh on the first really snowy day at school. The conversation went something like this I am told...
This story is just for grins- hope you enjoy!
Teacher: Children, get your snow gear on.
Noah: Do I have to wear my snowpants?
Teacher: Yes Noah, it's cold today, you need to wear your snowpants.
Noah: Are you sure I need to wear my snowpants? (Looking around anxiously)
Teacher: Yes Noah, every day till spring you'll need to wear your snowpants when we play outside.
Noah: Well, okay then, but turn around. (At which point he begins to strip from the waist down to put on his snowpants because he doesn't understand the concept that they go OVER your clothing.)
Every day, we have a choice, focus on the fun, positive, and good or on the frustrations and the trials. There is a Bible verse I love to remind myself with when I start to think negative. It's from Philippians 4:9...
Summing it all up, friends, I'd say you'll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious-the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most excellent harmonies.
So today, find something true, noble, reputable, gracious, beautiful or compelling to fill your mind. Remember, if you look hard enough, you can always find something to smile about!
