Within the Whole-Person Health Model, Lifestyle Domains organize daily life into clear, recognizable areas such as nutrition, movement, recovery, and mental and emotional health.
In plain terms, a Lifestyle Domain answers the question: Where in daily life does this behavior happen?

What a Lifestyle Domain is
- A real-life area of daily life: Each domain represents a familiar and ongoing part of life, such as eating, moving, resting, or thinking and feeling.
- A stable structure: Domains remain consistent over time, even as routines and habits change.
- A boundary setter: Each domain defines what belongs within that area of life and what does not.
- A place where behavior occurs: Domains establish the area in which habits and routines develop through daily repetition.
What a Lifestyle Domain is not
- Not a program: A domain does not tell you what to do or how to do it.
- Not a set of rules: It does not prescribe specific behaviors, plans, or routines.
- Not a content category: Domains are not used to group articles by topic or popularity.
- Not a replacement for other dimensions: A domain does not explain how behaviors form, what influences them, or how they change over time.
